Eat eat eat in Istanbul

Looks like updating a travel blog when you are already at home requires discipline, time and more discipline. I lack on those so it took a while.

The last trip ended up in Istanbul. Tanja joined me for a long weekend of eating. Istanbul is anyways all about food, colors, flavors and a metal bar. This time the metal bar played a side role, I probably had too much party in Sumatra and Nepal. And we had even taken a hotel next to Dorock as on the last trip we usually left the place when the sun was rising again. Not this time. This time we just ate. I was quickly gaining back the weight I lost in Asia.

Crappy photos tell more than my crappy english.

Coffee & Tea near Galata Tower.
CANIM CIGERIM!!!! Omnomnom!
Delicacies in Kadiköy.
Fish market in Üsküdar.
Candy, more candy!!!
Chili shop in Üsküdar.
We did also eat some actual food but I was always too busy to empty the plate that there's no photos of those. Maybe Tanja has some and I'll add them later.

And we did some touristy stuff too. We went to Kariye Musesi (Chora church) but also a few other ppl knew of this insider tip.

Istanbul is one of my favorite cities in Europe/Asia. But next time I'd choose the autumn when I can eat fresh figs. You can only eat a certain amount of the dried ones and you should not do it before you have to sit in a plane.

Well, I've been home for 1,5 weeks now. Three more days and I'll be in Berlin :) :) :)
